Talking about tough days, my beloved Medium friends, you wouldn’t be surprised to know that my day was a total disaster.! To start with, my bank account has been emptied by evil elves, or have I been the victim of an evil spell? Either way, I woke up without a big chunck of my money, where did it all go? Maybe the dollars are out there just enjoying the sun. Maybe they will come back, maybe they won’t. Either way, I stared at my bank statement in complete shock.
Thank you, Monday morning.! You’ve done it again.
And following the “good” vibes of this Monday, several business appointments were cancelled out of the blue, and others, the nicest ones, told me straight forward that their companies were not hiring consultants this time of the year. At least, they were honest.
I took a deep breath and made my way into the city, today is one of those days, where I really need coffee. But I don’t mean a cup or two. I mean more like a gallon to break even and to bring life back to these bones and to make of me a “sociable” human being.
I put a “leak-proof” flask in my bag, and a few hours later, guess what? Yup. you guessed it right, there was coffee dripping from it. I stared at the bag with fear “My computer, my stories are gone” I thought for a frightful moment, with shaking hands I open the bag and reached for my laptop. Miraculously, the coffee had leak on the other side, without dropping a drop on my laptop. Angels watching out for me? God giving a break?Luck? whatever you might want to call it, I’m grateful for it. And that’s why I am here celebrating my good fortune with beer and tempura, because no matter what happened or didn’t happen, it is always a good time to celebrate oneself and the little miracles that happen everyday (I hope the elves won’t take another chunk of my money, at least tonight 😊)
